Sugar.

Nana came over last night to visit with the kiddos. I had just gotten home from my last jr high basketball game of the season... thankfully in time to see the kids before they were in bed! We were just sitting around the kitchen table eating and talking. Nana said she had to leave so she could go to the store to get some sugar. "I don't have any sugar, " Nana said. Payton then proceeded to lean over and give Nana some sugar of her own! It was one of cutest and sweetest moments! I just wish I had a picture of that sweet second...

Project Life

Just some snapshots of our daily life... I'm doing another 365 project this year so taking pictures everyday has become second nature to me now. And I'm so thankful for this project... normally my pictures will sit and sit forever because I never have time to scrapbook them the way I want to. Now with the Project 365 album and Project Life I can keep up with our family's events and lives so much easier! The best thing... Becky Higgins, creator of Project 365 and Project Life, has also created a digital version. The album is on sale now at amazon.com.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears Oh My!

RJ's daycare created their own circus performance on Friday! RJ was a tiger and even jumped through a hoop of fire... he seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself! This was one of the highlights of being in the 4/5 yr old class, along with field trips to the pumpkin patch and christmas tree farm.

Terrible twos?

Our sweet, even-tempered laid back 23-month-old little girl is experiencing some kind of new emotion that she just can't seem to get a handle on. The terrible-two monster has creeped into her little body from time to time and when that happens this is usually the result...

a nice little fit on the floor...
followed by some tears...

Daily life...

We are trying to settle back into our normal routines after a wonderful Christmas break and an unexpected 3-day weekend because of a little snow! It was just the break we needed to help get back into the swing of things!
We had just a dusting of snow that actually stayed on the ground, but it did snow most of Thursday and Friday. It was beautiful to see! This was left after 3 days of below freezing temps.
Building Legos... not sure this will ever go out of style!

Eating yogurt and thinking she is a big girl because she can stand up and eat!

Watching a little TV and relaxing... Payton's favorite shows right now are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Max & Ruby, RJ's favorites are Phineas and Ferb and Johnny Test.

This show is addicting... my husband and I love it! We have watched three seasons in less than two weeks. I'm dying now to watch Season 4! Just a little info about the show... Dexter is a blood spatter analyst for Miami Metro Police with a dark side. Because of a horrible tragedy in his childhood he has certain "needs"... one of which is to kill. Good side? He only kills murderers, usually the ones who have escaped prison or the justice system in some way. Dexter finds a way to right this wrong all the while keeping his "needs" secret. And, somehow he pulls this all off while still coming across as very likeable. He tries to maintain a "normal life" to avoid fitting into the serial killer profile. Wonderful show and wonderful actors... my fave right now is Deb!

Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!

We celebrated Christmas at our home on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day. The kids had a ball with the gifts and the traditions we have started as a family. It is so fun to experience Christmas through the eyes of a child.
